Merichem Technologies is hard-wired for sustainability. With initiatives on every front, we treat fuels or other process streams for mercaptans and sulfur compounds, and install our LO‑CAT® technology to eliminate H2S from gas streams.

As a long-standing member of the American Chemistry Council, we adhere to Responsible Care® guiding principles and are committed to conducting business activities in accordance with all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) laws and regulations for the benefit of our employees, customers, contractors, partners, and the community. This includes:

  • Monitoring performance and continual improvement through a management system compliant with the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care Management System
  • Practicing responsible environmental stewardship
  • Securing our facilities to ensure safe operations and continued supply of products
  • Maintaining dialog with communities about EHSS issues

Biofuels / Renewables

During the refining process of biofuels and renewables, the removal of H2S is critical. Merichem Technologies’ LO-CAT® and THIOLEX™ are efficient means for treating these streams.

Product Stewardship

In accordance with Merichem Technologies’ Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Policy, we have implemented a risk characterization process to categorize our products in terms of exposure and hazard potential. These three product lines have been prioritized and summarized:
